Govt. Medical College (GMC) Anantnag Achieves Another Milestone: Successful Left Bundle Pacing Procedures on C-Arm Without EP Backup
Anantnag Sep 01 : (ANR) Govt. Medical College (GMC) Anantnag is proud to announce a significant achievement in the field of cardiology. In an unprecedented accomplishment, our skilled cardiology team, led by Dr. Shamim Iqbal, Dr. Syed Maqbool, and Dr. Showkat H Shah, successfully performed two consecutive "Left Bundle Branch Pacing" procedures, along with a CRT-P implantation, all conducted on a C-Arm without the aid of Electrophysiology (EP) backup. This marks the first time such procedures have been attempted and successfully completed at GMC Anantnag, making it a groundbreaking moment in our medical history.
While Left Bundle Branch Pacing is a routine procedure at leading institutes like SKIMS and SMHS, it has never before been attempted on a C-Arm and without EP backup in our region. This success underscores the growing capabilities of GMC Anantnag in providing advanced cardiac care, even in resource-limited settings. All three procedures yielded highly satisfactory outcomes, highlighting the expertise and dedication of our medical team.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our Principal, Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb, whose unwavering support and visionary leadership have been instrumental in achieving this milestone. Her guidance continues to inspire our teams to push the boundaries of medical excellence at GMC Anantnag. (ANR)
